ABOUT THE COMPANY

Richard E. Dennis, is the manager of the WIND RIVER COMPANY L.L.C., a Louisiana Limited Liability Company operating within a client base spanning global markets and myriad industries.  The companies operating parameters include three divisions with each division being a registered trademark of the Company, e.g.:

The Wind River Ranch L.L.C. is a Registered trademark and division of the Wind River Company L.L.C., specializing in breeding, training, & showing Reining, Cutting, & Reined Cow Horses.  Also, it's a place where the legendary Champion Producing Genetics, of past Reined Cow Horse Champions, are carefully blended with the present to produce future Champions, BY DESIGN!

DAY TO DAY OPERATIONS feature:

  • A breeding program featuring foals being produced by the ranch's breeding Stallion; DUALIN OAK.

CALIFORNIA STOCK HORSE - REINED COW HORSE

  • The California Stock Horse or Reined Cow Horse is world renowned as the tri - athlete of the performance horse industry.  Through time and memorial the old style Vaquero Training Methods combined with today's superior genetic breeding programs results in an extremely athletic and far superior Stock Horse of yesterday.
  • This superior breed is capable of performing multiple disciplines, in the show arena, e.g., Reining, Cutting, or Reined Cow Horse, with regularity.  This caliber of horse is so superior, in athleticism and superior cow sense, an entire Equine Industry has evolved to support the breed, more specifically: National Reined Cow Horse Association, National Stock Horse Association.

This division is managed by Rick, an avid and accomplished Professional Horseman and Professional Stock Horse Trainer with years of expertise in the industry and show arena.

Rick is a life member of the AQHA, a member of and listed in the trainers directory of the NRCHA, NRHA, NCHA, & NSHA.  A judicially certified expert Professional Reined Cow Horse Trainer; 22 JDC, Covington, Louisiana and has significant Industry Firsts to his credit, e.g.:

  • The 1st, in Louisiana, from the WARD RANCH, INC., to compete and succeed in the grueling West Coast Reined Cow Horse Market, 1st to import the Reined Cow Horse East of the Mississippi, to establish a Reined Cow Horse training facility in Louisiana (Wind River Ranch L.L.C.), to have a Snaffle Bit Futurity Finalist; DUAL TRAIN, to have a top money earning West Coast Stallion; NIC CHEX, and 1st to establish an NRCHA Reined Cow Horse affiliate; Southeast Reined Cow Horse Association.
